Is the cookbook service free? Yes. This is a free service. Individuals and groups can create cookbooks and share them with friends. They can also output their cookbooks in several formats including a PDF format that's easy to email and print.
Do you edit recipes
and stories? We do not edit recipes or stories, but we do reserve the right to edit or reject any content. Can we use
artwork from other sources? Artwork from websites and cookbooks is usually copyrighted. There are sites that offer public domain photos and artwork that you're free to use. We also recommend IstockPhoto.com where you can buy professional photographs and artwork for as little as $1 to $15. This would be a great place to find an impressive photo for your cover. Having said that, the best photographs you can include are family photos and we encourage you to use them in your recipes and stories. Do
I have to combine stories with recipes? No. You can have a cookbook with just recipes, or a storybook with just stories. What size is the
book? The cookbooks are 8-1/2"x 11". What does the covers look
like? You can create your own cover by uploading a photograph, or piece of artwork. We support .jpg and .gif image format. Can I print the recipes
on my home printer? Yes. We encourage you to print copies of your cookbook on your home printer or send the finished cookbook to services like FedEx Office (Kinko's) where you can get professional binding services. Can other people
see our family recipes? Your recipes, stories and cookbooks can be public or private. If they are private, only people who know your username and password can view them. |
